Today, a new era of Legend of Maxx comics is born.

I would love to have been able to save this madness for comic 500, but there’s no way I could have stretched the plot line for that long. So, enjoy this insanely long time-lapse as a pre-500 bonus!

Apart from comic 400, this is probably the longest I’ve spent on a comic to date. It involved 45 minutes of sitting in Terraria taking screenshots, and, as you can see, a ton of custom spritework. As with the blueprint before, I’m pretty proud of it! I’d appreciate it if you could share it around the Internet for all to see!

      NOT SECOND: Also, I love how J.o.N.A.S’ sprite doesn’t even shade in all those panels. (I think “shade” is a verb?)

      I mean :
      – A tree on a boat.
      – Sophia has a supersayan’s strenght to lift that drill
      – …a drill on a boat. To dig water???
      – a trebuchet… on a canon. Just why?
      – It’s a flying ship! But the “chimney” has no motor or boilcrate.
      – A single entry/exit. SINGLE.
      – The useless bricks section. Will it store more spikeballs? So that they fall from above.
      – That ship is super-science : regardless of its weight, only 2 blocks high are inside the water.
      – To get to the alcohol/break room, they have to climb a cage, with a wild animal inside.

        -the trebuchet for if gun brakes
        -I think you mean the mast
        -it’s 2d and max can brake the walls
        -it’s probs like the exsost
        -steal chains
        -the osalot is tame, how els cud Sophia carry it

        -The “Stabbo Arm”
        -The “Grabbo Arm”
        -Gus’ Room

        Actually, it’s probably better for gus that his room isn’t in the deuterium rocket propulsion system.

        Also, I hope they’ve packed up a bunch of citrus from the shore, they’ll get scurvy in no time!

        I’ve never seen any of the cast actually eat yet, other than fried pirahnae.
        They should all be dead unless Ale counts as food, or Cyrils’ theory is incorrect and they don’t actually have digestive tracts

    What is the definition of fancy, this comic. Also Jesse I haven’t heard you answer this before, but how do you feel to have some Easter Eggs to your comic in the game itself?

      i`ve been thinking. since i have no photoshop experience, and im not good at sprite work, i think im going to make it a video series. i have bandicam, but it turns out blurry. anybody have suggestions for good, free recording programs?

    I would like to see: the gatling gun, the drill, the magnet, the cyber computer, and the other features fighting off a naiad fleet.
    Yes, I will use “the guy who” as my prefix from here on out.

    Poor Gus. Ah, well. Maybe now he’ll attract all the bad luck so Cyril can actually enjoy the adventure. (What was that blue coil Cyril threw, by the way?)

    I loved how June lectured Soph. I can’t believe Sophia actually sat still and was serious (for a few minutes, at least) after that. She actually listened to June? Or am I just really confused? (It’s prettyyyy late….)

    Is it just me, or does June look a little smaller than the rest of the characters?

      Also, what is that brown ball that showed up in the top RH corner for a few frames?

        Sophia definitely seems to cause trouble for Gus the way Maxx does for Cyril. And yeah, June’s sprite is kind of small, especially since her hair was cut! She still has her commanding presence, though.

        Follow a guy into a dark alleyway, knock him unconscious with a lead pipe, steal a five dollar bill from his pocket, and buy terraria. Since the money technically wasn’t yours, you never spend anything on it.

        Just add it to your Steam wishlist and wait for it to go on sale! I’ve seen it drop below $3 before. It’s definitely worth the price!

    Jesse, here’s an idea. Well I know they’re not in hardmode yet but why not have them meet the Pirate while they’re at sea. And I’m guessing you’ll have them find the Demolitionist floating somewhere in the ocean.

    More of the ship needs to be underwater and the ship looks more normal then a monstrosity so it will probably fall over

    Also, I thought that Gus actually died when he fell off the climbing rock wall thing. I mean, it looked like Sophia was making a grave for him right before he came back, so that freaked me out a little.

    I love the ships design, imagine it made of Luminite or Martian conduit plating! or even spooky wood! I cant see anyone daring to fight a ship with those materials! Then all we would need is simple…you don’t know? Oh okay then, I’ll keep it secret…

    P.S – Super hyped for Maxx and the gang to get the fiery great sword and see Cyril’s reaction to being out at sea. I assume he will freak out with his fear of water…pathetic…

    Wow, this is incredible! XD Once again you actually break cliche’s and actually have a ridiculous plan put into motion…the boat is wonderful, and this GIF comic is amazing 🙂
