        personally, I think that june made a dirt shield that max stabbed then she encases him in dirt and she keeps him in there until he decides to not be with corrupt. and aslo: Silly Maxx. They may have cookies, But the Hallow has Unicorns. And Cake. And Excalibur. And the Drax. and the Hallowed set. And Dragons.

      I think the next panel is going to show Maxx with his sword in Xylan, and Hanny with her battle axe embedded in Maxx’s back.

    Oh man this is intense! Maxx wouldn’t possibly hurt his friends. My guess is he has spun around and attacked Xylan…and we have to wait until next Tuesday to see it!

        No no, you guys have got it all wrong!
        It was the merchant all along. you see, while all of this was going on, he bargained with the goblins to sell Aley and Hannah to the goblins. He then convinced Remiel to partake in a friendly game of Oligopoly, and ended up getting his awesome sword. With the money from selling the village, the demolitionist, hannah, and Aley, he was able to hire himself to sue a door, obtaining the doorknob in the process. He then went to the dungeon, cheated the engineer and goblin tinkerer, and got them into a contract that if they did not build a rocket and a catapult with the doorknob, they would have to find elder fungus’s foot cream and then apply it every day for 50 years. He then took the rocket up to the moon, with the catapult, and launched Remmy’s sword at the dungeon!

        It also could be that Hannah pulled her battleaxe, and shanked Maxx with it in self-defense.

        Actually, they’re subtly more purple than before. His original eye color is 80R 52G 169B and his new eye color is 69R 60G 170B. It’s worth noting that his eyes changed color this way quite some time before the group reached the dungeon, however; it happened when Jessie switched over to using Terraria 1.2.

        I agree. Although There was a suspicious lack of green glow, which leads me to believe that Maxx is not our culprit. It was probably June’s smiley face dirt-clod. ;D

    Hmm well, there’s a few things that could have happened right there.

    1. June just totaled the Chosen Bowl of Goldfish.
    2. June just smashed her ex.
    3. Maxx just killed his crush.
    4. Tyrone has returned at the worst moment possible.
    5. Everyone leapt at once, and now there’s a free buffet for the zombies.

    Tell me, which one seems the most plausible to you? Please, do tell.

        True. It could be Xane, but who did he kill? I doubt that June’s death would be that melodramatic, and wasn’t Xane the one who wanted Maxx in the first place? Why would he stop his newest lackey from killing the one person that he’s afraid of? (And really, what guy wouldn’t be afraid of a woman wearing vines around her essentials? She’s like that witch from the Hansel and Gretel story.)

        I don’t consider June as an NPC because NPCs in LoM are said to respawn due to their lack of importance. June has been a great dryad. She has a great faith in keeping the prophecy alive.

        I believe June has not been killed though. That would totally suck. On the next comic, **** has shanked *****. (This part of this comment has been redacted due to spoilers.)

    I dunno, maxx had an evil smile on his face when stabbing Hannah. Maybe he was promised bigger cookies, or a haircut.

        My bad. Maxx said “Sorry, Hanny.”, so i assumed that was who he was going for. Maybe the words of Xylan converted him. He did say the dryad were biased. Maybe his words grew on him.

        That is your photo. You have a huge nose, are very depressed, have small eyes, and have pimples on your chin. No offense to you actually, but the automatic generator actually made it kinda look like that, so like don’t think I meant you IRL.

    Hoping that it was June that got stabbed. Why? Because June kinda had it coming considering how she treats everyone around her. She is almost as bad as Xane (actually I think she might be the Dryad equivalent of him), but not quite as funny, in the terms of bloodlust. It kinda gotten quite a bit stale at this point, though the bit with the dirt plane was pretty damn funny and same goes for the dirtnade.

    To everyone saying that “shank” is a Xane sound, it’s kinda obvious that Maxx is holding the sword in a way in which he would thrust downward with it. He would be stabbing his target from the top, effectively shanking the target.

    I think that June nor Maxx do any damage to each other.I think it’s maybe the wrench cannon or some other invention that Sophia made (this is if they ever actually made it out).

    Either Hannah or Cyril was killed, trying to shield June, Xylan was double crossed, or June was killed and will respawn. Also, Cyril/Hannah would also respawn.

    *Ahem* No, they wouldn’t respawn, as Aley’s with them and totally conscious, and there’s goblin village. Anyways, Maxx might’ve cut some dark magicked steak offscreen, or June just… Well, uh… *Inexplicably dies*

    we should all remember that Cyril still has Xane’s dagger, and he could have been the one to have a stupid moment or bravery that winds up getting someone and himself killed. just a thought. as for the “shank” sound, yes, Xane made it, but again, cyril has the dagger now.

    …i just want him to be a hero at some point in this comic.

      Well…he is,look closely,the pants are a different colour from his skin, plus, is it a somewhat similar style to Xylans clothing, so he has to be wearing pants, no doubt about it.

    Cryil actually does something and used Tyrone as a meatshield to get shanked, Xane then shanks Cryil in a fit of rage, and Cryil instantly respawning because it is dawn. Then, June gets angry and punts Maxx through the ceiling (Of an underground layer…).

    Or Aley “Bweem’d” everyone. Or maybe the grassblade snapped in half because it’s well… Grass… Who knows. Maybe Jesse will be a bigger dick and do an intermission of Aley doing an erotic dance.

    Xane is awesome, and personally, he is “more awesomer” than Maxx, Xylan and June.

    Possiblities of who did the shank:

    1: Xane.
    2: Maxx
    3: Xylan
    4: Cyril (Though very unlikely)
    5: Hannah
    6: Tyrone.
    7: A Terraria boss.
    8: Jesse is introducing a new character, and this is his entrance.
    9: Aley somehow picks up a sword and shanks someone.
    10: Jesse.
    11: Someone from Re-Logic.

    He said he got to what he got to do and he gotta do this , he means he has to kill someone not necissalry June he didn’t say “your mine June ” he got to do what it takes to save himself or benfit. Plus he got almost what ever he wants so it’s likely it was xane takeing in the fact that he’s boss and get out of that hole in 3 seconds it would most likely be xane or a Skelton

    i think max got shanked. look how its slanted. d the at the bottom where june was isnt bloody. the s where make would have been is full of blood.mabye june(who can control the blade of grass because its her element and its just grass) controlled it and made it flip around stabbing maxx when he landed.

    1. Tyrone makes an appearance and already got killed.
    2. Cyril splattered red paint on the screen.
    3. Maxx kills Xane.
    4. Remiel somehow stops time and does… something.
    5. Maxx has actually sliced air.
    6. More coming at one point!

    Has anyone else noctied that there’s black markings in the dirt possibly be xane in invisibility cloak about which in the last frame it was seen in was 7 tiles away from Maxx and he jumped to 1 to 2 blocks high ( telling from the skulls in the back ground ) useing Pythagorean Theorem the distant horziantal between the black smudge and Maxx is 7.2 just which should be just enough to to an effective stab on Hannah or the black smudge since the sword is 2 tiles yea so one of thoes 2 is dead

      Those “Black Markings” is just shading on the dirt, It’s not going to be completely evened out after June’s Dirt ‘nade exploded followed by the brief confrontation.

        Or… Could Maxx be Xane in disguise? Like, Maxx refused coz he doesn’t think it’s that good a deal, and Xane dressed up as Maxx? Or, they let Maxx go free, and Xane dressed up as Maxx to freak June, Hannah and Cyril out? Or could this be… A NEW CHARACTER?!

    ALSO! good work Sir Jesse, Creator of the Realm known as The Legend Of Maxx, i found that this comic has served it’s utmost purpose, to entertain us common folk and less common people alike..

      I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to control your movement in midair to that degree. You already have forward momentum, and the amount of force you would have to apply to the air in front of you to flip backward and MOVE backward would be extremely high, and no human can do that without crazy enhancements, or maybe steroids.

      If he had rocket boots, he would have shown them off by now, and not only that, we can’t see them. Also, June probably wouldn’t make a fist for this. If I were her, I would just create a spike to let Maxx impale himself on.

      yes, never forget that Cyril has one of Xane’s daggers! it is like Checklov’s gun, if it is there, it must be for a reason, otherwise it wouldn’t be there.

    I think that Cyril tryed to stab Maxx, but lost his grip, and his “girly” sword flew through the air, fell down, and stabed Cyril while falling, or you know, someone else.

      Thanks, Riolu, good luck with whatever you choose to make! For the original sprites, I used an xnb extractor to turn the files contained with the game into raw images. For all the other sprites, MS Paint drawing all the way.

    Let’s see… we know Maxx isn’t stabbed because plot armor… Xylan (or Xane, whatevs) would be too fast to be shanked, and Maxx could never manage it anyway. Cyril is too paralyzed and too far away to do anything. June would never open herself to such an attack. Therefore, Hanny got shanked, either by blocking or by something else.

    i prefer the old Blade of Grass sprite better than the new Blade of Grass sprite. the new one doesn’t look as unique while the old one looks epic.

    My theory: The blade of grass has a little mind of it’s own/ is controlled by a sentient being, which is instrued to never hurt dryads. As such, it probably stabbed Maxx, or a bit less likely Xylan or hannah; my conclusion: June is very unlikely to be touched or hurt by it, much less killed.

    maxx is going to “wound” june and she will pretend to “fall in love” with him untill she draws him to her side n’ such and have him kill tons of niads with her ect.
