A lot of Terraria weapons and items seem to gain extra functionality when they enter the world of Legend of Maxx. That being said, it’s probably a good thing the Muramasa can’t do that in-game– it would be even more broken pre-hardmode.

wow i want THAT muramasa in terraria
New idea: You can create True versions of each sword using the original plus an additional hardmode material(cobalt for the true Muramasa, Chlorophyte for True Blade of Grass, Ichor/Cursed Flame for True Light’s Bane,/Blood Butcherer, and Souls of Might for the True Flaming Greatsword. They’d be weaker than TNE, but have additional effects.
But only the ones that create the night edge and it should be made out of something like magic powder to give it true or another one u figure it out
Actually, the true night’s edge is already in terraria. You combine the old one with a broken hero sword and you can get the true night’s edge. Oh, and falcon? Shouldn’t the true flaming greatsword be made of cursed flames or ichor? Just seems appropriate.
I wanted the materials to be something related to how they’re forged(Sans Muramasa, which is found in the dungeon). Since Cursed Flames/Ichor are found in Corruption/Crimson, it wouldn’t be appropriate. Maybe Obsidian would be a better choice?
A problem with using cobalt for the True Muramasa: not every world has cobalt. It might have palladium. Also, if obsidian were used for the True Fiery Greatsword, then you would have a hardmode-teir weapon pre-hardmode. Something to do with water might be a better choice for the Muramasa, as a long of things in the dungeon are water-oriented. Living fire might be used for the Fiery Greatsword, as I’m pretty sure it isn’t dropped by enemies in the underworld until you beat a hardmode boss.
Nights Edge/TNE should have a crimsoned counterpart 😀

The Muramasa has low damage in exchange for high swing speed. If it was stronger, it would be even more OP than it already is.
I play a game with my siblings and in it the muramasa can make clean cuts through metal but not biological creatures. It just bounces off those. It also turns us in to a robot.
We also call it the Muracaulsa. (Mure-a-coal-sa)
By the time you can safely navigate the dungeon you usually have weapons better than the muramassa
but I can navigate dungeon using only shurikens on first day.
You can’t do that. You have to kill skeletron on the first night, unless you can survive 5 billion dungeon guardians killing your face.

Yes the Muramasa totally sucks because you totally can’t kill the Eater of Worlds by just standing there with the mouse button held down.
The Muramasa combined with the shadow scale armor is an extremely deadly combination. The auto-swing and extremely high swing speed make it capable shredding anything with ease. People compare it to a blender it is more like a wood chipper. Although Blender Blade sounds better.

They they will leave the dungeon and find that scientist and that girl who designed the dungeon and they will join the party
