Oh dang, one comic away from the big four-hundo! Someone’s going to get their butt kicked… the question is who?

Xane now has a name! And apparently quite the reputation. Or at least he did a thousand years ago. Remember: keep up on your killings or people will see you as a has-been.

        No, it’ll be a demolitionist and merchant comic, showing the demo demolishing his opponent in… Whatever board game they were playing.

      I keep forgetting……why are humans not immortal? That’s not very considerate to assasins… Or any other killers anyway.

    Made me giggle quite a bit. That whole ‘Excuse me? Come on, dude! I’m like… part of common knowledge!’ dealio really had me smiling. Can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned for #400.

        Also, I feel like there be a twist to that though. Xane might kill June and Maxx will want revenge. Because if you remember, she kinda hated her parents.

    A thought I have about what might happen is that Xane is standing with his back against Maxx and will let Maxx strike first. Now, I doubt Maxx will be so quick to take a strike before putting in a few more lines of jabber. But if not, Maxx will impale or slice Xane while he is boasting about himself. lol MAYBE. Man, this is so enjoyable. I LOVE these!

    I like it a lot when villains and heroes have a nice friendly stupid conversation with each other. That would be pretty much how I would act if I was a hero/villain meeting the “other force” I’m expecting this friendly conversation to continue even when they fight however, I can picture them both fighting and they both ask each other “what’s your favorite pizza toppings?” “What’s your favourite ale flavor?”

    Also, I like how Xane’s smile is different than everyone else’s. He has white teeth showing when he smiles, and it looks off, which makes him look creepy.

    I just checked, and it has been exactly 100 chapters since June left. Maybe she might come back for 400. Who knows, we can only hope.

      It has not been 100 chapters, we are only on chapter 2! The chapter where we get the Muramasa. But I think you mean comics.

      Well Maxx cann’t actually loose becouse if he lost the comic would end and we don’t want that, do we?

        Of course. He’ll win in a very comedic fashion… or lose and be imprisoned in the Dungeon. At which has to escape along with the others.

        It’s those two dudes guarding the Dryad jungle. People are expecting that Jesse pull a fast one and show us a Maple and Poa strip for every climax ever.

    Watch,Jessie has us all thinking the next comic is a fight comic,then BAM!!!He makes it a comic that has nothing to do with the fight whatsoever!

      That’d be interesting, but I don’t think there’d be much reason for her doing so. She’s convinced they’re all going to fail and she shouldn’t bother, right? Well, this is the point where she thinks they’ll fail, so I highly doubt she’d burst in and save them.

    I really just noticed that Xane has a pony tail. I thought that was part of his cape. Also, if Maxx was smart, he’d either bring 2 Cron swords or a bow (Xane’ll wait for him to approach then Maxx’ll just shoot him INDIANA JONES ANYONE?)

      I know it would result in getting stabbed by the guy… but I would so do that. In my dying breath I would say “I regret nothing.”

      Also if it was any of my characters… then his victory would be short lived. I would come back with the Shroomite Armor and my Chain Gun + Crystal Bullets. He wouldn’t be able to move a muscle before being literally torn to shreds.

    OH! I just went back over the interviews from a long ways back, and there was one question for June if she hated any single person more than anyone else, and she responded that she had an ex. Anyone think this dude may be him?? It would make any possible interaction between them suitably entertaining I feel, if June were to come back.

      I was just thinking that. Xane is basically an evil version of Maxx, and he probably reminded her of Xane-pre corruption. That, along with centuries of failure, was probably why she left.

    I’m half expecting Maxx to somehow bizarrely win by barely doing anything. Also, I just had this weird thought in which Maxx would put on a fake plumber suit and say they were were there for some sort maintenance issues. Either way, I’m excited to see what Jesse’s got for 400!

    I imagine Xane sounding like Basil from Fawlty Towers. Dunno why… Maybe cos of his remarks, like the one about humans in this one.

    Wow, what a comic! Read all of it in just three days, and I was left astonished! The story is fantastic. It goes for a long time, but not at all long-winded!

    This comic is on my reading list along with Dilbert, c.urvy, Oglaf, and Overkloking.

    I just figured out who Xane reminds me of: Willy Wonka’s amused/patronising/faintly manic face in that “so tell me again how…” meme.

    i will sometime have Xane fight my special OC for my Terraria stories sometimes. not saying anymore about it.
