Yeah, this is a tradition now.

Clocking in at 72 panels, this is by far the largest comic I’ve ever made! Even though it took ages, I kind of enjoyed it… it’s fun to be able to write a long, rambling conversation between two bored border guards without having to worry about conserving space. I have to admit, I’ve grown a bit of a soft spot for Maple and Poa… there’s something charming about their utterly pointless existence.

I’m hard at work on comic 400 as we speak, so… hopefully… it will be out on Wednesday! It’s… it’s going to take me a while.

      ( this one may have been made in spare time, this is filler every thing needs filler time right before a HUGE fight, or a huge letdown. either way it’s still a work in progress so there’s still some things that jesse can add. )

        I don’t think it took him much longer than the usual comic. Poa has the same pose except for a few tweaks and when he raises his arms in the air. Maple has the same pose except for his face. I am not creative though. (I don’t want to sound to critical, sorry if I am)

        It took a loooong time. It was simple, so it was fast going relatively speaking, but the sheer length of it made it take quite a while.

        @dederp: It’s really variable, because it depends on how quickly I can get a script hammered out and whether or not it requires new builds/ sprites. The absolute minimum these days is probably 2 hours, and the average is more like 4.

        I love this comic even though its added suspense for the 400 (congrats btw) its awesome and I’m glad it’s a new tradition. Good luck on comic number 400!

      I feel like Maple and Poa might have an important role a lot later in the comics. The comic is only about a sixth done right

    Saw it coming, but this one was actually pretty funny. I’d like to see comics about Man-Bat and Man-Spider.

    Without actual spiders, of course.

    Maple and Poa are like the icons of Jesse’s trolling powers.
    I love their interactions. It’s like a back-and-forth stand-up routine, like “Who’s on first” for instance.

        Man-Bat is a villain in Man-Bat, so Man-Bat doesn’t mean to be Batman. I have nothing for Man-Spider…. Amazing Spiderman 3 Villain? xD

    I thought this was going to move into one forming Marvel and the other forming DC and then them having an all out brawl. I was wrong.

      Dude be patient. Read the description and you’ll see that he’s working on comic 400, as it is a huge fight that’s about to go down.

    Presumably Maple is counting seconds. So she’s been standing on one foot for just short of 51 days? I guess that gives us some frame of reference now for how long Maxx and co. were stuck on that cursed ship…

      And a bit longer, but time may pass differently. Remember, they had that horizon-gazing contest. Either this is in the past, or that contest was really short. Besides, Maple won at 84 days, so 5 million seconds would be pretty short in comparison. About 57 days and 8/10ths. So yeah, it’s probably in the past.

    hey, wasn`t almost every1 shouting for maple and poa a few comics ago? well now we got it………. lol man-spider and man-bat. Maybe the contest didn’t instantly start when they left, and this started like a couple comics ago.its a possibilitie.

    Actually, it would be pretty awesome to have bat summoner armor for terraria. We already have the bat scepter, and spider armor as well.

      Even though I have a texture pack that replaces the spiders in game (arachnophobia) the spider nests are still hella scary.

    i really miss playing terraria about a year ago my pc had a huge crash and i had to reset the whole thing i have my save backed up but i don’t have the money to get a new os or a new pc i am 🙁

    I really like these two. Their unimportance means they’re not seen as much, and if they’re not seen as much, there’s less, or in this case none, to hate about them.

    I can’t wait to wake up to another one of these tomorrow. It’s nice that they just seem so content, despite having previously acknowledged their potentially pointless existence.
