Well, the inevitable Frozen reference has been made.

Hannah strikes me as a person who feeds her shoulder angel far more than her shoulder demon, but that doesn’t mean that her dark side doesn’t get a word in every once in a while.

I feel like we’ve learned something about both Maxx and Hannah in this strip. I like how Hannah seems to be afraid of her internal dialogue.

        Oh, I think that was a reference to ‘the railway children.’ There’s this guy who’s speaking a complete load of incomprehencable bull, and one of the protagonists asks the above question, mockingly.

        Still an awesome idea tho. Imagine, like they all fall in a hole and Maxx finds antigravity potions and force feeds it to all of them. Then they fly up on a cloud. Cryil then finds Remy, and Bunny Storm’s his ass until he gives him back Ina. But instead, the goblin army rampages in. Which will result in Maxx trying to kill all of them, but Cryil sees that there are too many and grabs the tinkerer and jumps off the cloud and uses wizard powerz to land safely. Turns out, they landed in Naiad territory, where they find June trying to take the muramasa, and help her. She probably won’t want help at first, but then she’ll think about things and realize its amazing they even made it here and decide to come along with them. Then, they head back to camp and Cryil tells June all about the cloud and Ina, yet June is uninterested until he tells her they can get the Faerie sword there. They head back up, and steal the sword as well as Ina back. BAHM! INSTA PLOT!

        Oh, and btw, while they’re in the hole Maxx will find awesome demon armor. Has anyone noticed that EVERYONE in the comic has changed but Maxx? Cryil has a robe, Hanna has armor, Aley has no fuzz layer, but Maxx… Maxx has nothing.

        They used to do that ALL THE TIME. Now you have to ‘get to know each other’ and ‘spend time together’. Sheesh.

      People? I count one person so far who /might/ be asking if it was a Frozen reference, if “Frozen reference?” is to be interpreted as “is that a Frozen reference?” rather than “I haven’t seen Frozen, which bit is the reference?” like someone else said afterwards.

      I said I /wondered/ – that is, I am no longer wonder/ing/, because I saw the panel, wonder/ed/ if it was, then I read the description.

      Makes your comment vaguely ironic, really.

        Sorry, Is that how you’re supposed to put emphasis on words?

        It’s a subtitute for emphasis where you don’t have actual italics or bold or underline (I have no idea if this comment section allows for actual formatting). People also do stuff like _this_ or even *this* sometimes.

        Personally, I like to put the emphasis on the words I would like to emphasise rather than random ones, but, uh, your call.

        (Also, it’s Ms. Lyrisath if we’re being totes formal here.)

    1.Cyril recovered rather quickly.
    2.As a side note, when you guys read, do you hear similar characters as their voices, or just “generic” voices?

    Heres what I mean. when I read I hear

    Maxx: Sonic(Roger Craig Smith-era)
    Cyril:Donatello(TMNT 2012 series)
    Hannah:Katara from Avatar
    June: Raven from Teen Titans
    Remiel:Zelos from Tales of Symphonia

    (IDK about Aley)

      SPOT ON (except for Cyril, he sounds more like your Generic Protagonist voice from video games to me, like Yuri Lowenthal for example)

      You know how when people get really depressed/sad over something, but eventually (sometimes quickly) convert it all into anger?

      None of these (Except June’s) fits. Of course, everyone gives their reading their own voice, and its really hard to change that after 388 comics 😛

        Yeah, so in the next comic you’ll see an explosion and a horde of goblins flying up to a cloud, which is when they’ll fall in the hole from the plot story I explained above!

    Oh man… The love of Cyril’s life just got taken to the afterlife by a douchebag angel. This recent comic sequence, though it did not create any tears on the outside, made something break down into uncontrollable sobs on the inside when I read it. :'(

    Poor Cyril.

      I thought we already knew that nothing well will ever go for cyril, even when it looks like it will.

      Perhaps it’s karma for being the guide, the very same NPC who opened the door for monsters on my first night of terraria- a few years back.

      Maybe this is too much for karma.

    XD Nice reference to Frozen in there. Also, poor Cyril 🙁 Let’s hope Aley doesn’t try cheering him up. Last thing they need is a drunk wizard in training o.o’

    I kinda want to see something happen now where Maxx finds webs and says something like, “Oh, that’s right, there are no spiders.” And a ton of spiders attack him and he’d be like, “Guidey, I thought you said there weren’t any spiders?!”

    Grand scheme, Maxxy boy? The angels are monsters, and the biggest good to do would be to overthrow the clearly corrupt “heaven.” In which case, rescuing Skelerina WOULD be on the to-do list. GRAND scheme you’d not care about your quest either. Quit trying to act wise, you’re abysmal at it.

    am i evil for wanting cyril to go Despair-Event-Horizon on this whole adventure and Face Heel Turn? i just love the image of cyril turning into a monster and getting revenge, whether by killing a team member, killing himself (?) or just deciding to fight against Maxx & Co.
