June’s lines about massacre were inspired by a 2PSTART! Live! podcast. If you’ve never seen/listened to 2PSTART! before, I recommend it! It doesn’t generally involve massacre.

not a platinum more a few gold, so merchant should spawn.
Considering that in-game, the Eye of Cthuhlu and eater of worlds drop some gold coins, he should’ve had the merchant for a while now. Of course, in the comic, it didn’t show them drop any money, so he probably doesnt have many coins.
maybe when they get back home, the merchant’s just sleeping there or something like that.
