Comic #226

In which we learn a little more about June… and about Aley. The little sucker is starting to become pretty terrifying, especially since s/he seems to be learning to control his/her power…

Sorry for the late comic! If you were thinking that it was late because I was slacking off, here’s a brief timeline of my day:

  • food
  • work
  • Costco
  • food
  • comic
  • sleep

As you can see, I am now going to bed. See you Thursday!

    1. Wow. That would be an epic plot twist. Maxx getting the materials for night’s edge, killing WOF, hardmode, excalibur, yadda yadda yadda, finally makes the terra blade,
Gets killed by ocram, respawns because he was secretly in medium core mode, only to see Aley swinging around the terra blade and stabbing ocram right in the eye. Then… BWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!!!!!!!!!
And I wrote the entire series. You can thank me later.

  1. O.o holy crap…I’m so glad Aley’s on their side…I’m hoping that once the Hallow comes into play he/she won’t join the dark side T.T

    1. No, because he isn’t the chosen one. Remember how June got super mad when she figured out Maxx didn’t defeat the EoC?

  2. well aley IS a hard mode enemy. is much stronger then any of the basic enemies. and the eye of cthulu was already severely weakened when they blew it up. also going left = dungeon.

    1. Not always. There are chances that it generates on the right.
But I am going to assume that Aley is going to try to defeat the skeletron.

      1. The dungeon’s on the opposite side from the jungle. Hence, right = jungle, left=dungeon. There’s a 50/50 chance it would be the other way around.

      1. Yeah.
So i guess they would be hostile at first but when they realise that june is with them they’ll welcome them.

      1. No, the sprite is different, with a little bit of green and yellow. I’m willing to bet you make it by infusing a gossamer sword with a regular night’s edge. it would take too much work, just make it something you can find in floating island chests like shiny red balloon.

      2. Finding it in a floating island makes sense seeing as it’s the representative for air/wind an the location fits in with the other swords too (Muramasa to the east/west depending on the world, Blade of Grass opposite the Muramasa and the Fiery Greatsword to the south).

  3. “Sorry for the late comic!”
    ….
This comic updates 10x faster than the other webcomics I read. Your definition of “late” is their defenition of early.

  4. Can the hammush make a re-appearance? so far it is like darth maul… it is a big part of the comic but it was only in it for a few pages!!
(maybe maxx finds some glowing mushrooms in a dungeon and puts spikes on them then adds a stick for a handel so he would have a dungeon skeleton slaying hammuspike?

    1. It wasn’t really a big part. It’s been referenced outside of the comic a ton, but not really inside. Anyway, it got eaten by piranhas, so not much chance of reappearance. Even Maxx wouldn’t be dumb enough to remake a weapon that got eaten.

      1. So…We getting a new comic page?
So…We getting a new comic page?

        ARE WE???

  5. How come Aley is so strong? if anybody wants to give a rude answer to that thanks but ive had enough of that.

  6. Actually I do see some logic to both the Naiad and the Dryads going into hiding. Both sides suffered tremendous losses during the war and then suddenly lost most of their powers. Being weakened both sides would have backed off to regroup and recover. As they both went into hiding they can’t tell what the other side’s numbers or strength is. Fighting now could lead to mutually assured destruction or attacking the other side on their turf could be devastating.

  7. Hi there. new reader. just a guess but Aley has the Gossamer Sword inside of him or something. Fairies (pixies) are of the air element, so it stands to reason
