I think Guide is the kind of person who would pride himself on the accuracy of the figures he uses in his examples. ‘1,000,708 times’ seems like it would be a hyperbole, but I’ve slept across a chair and table like that before and I’d say the number is about right– it really isn’t a pleasant experience.
