What if sophiamechanic were to become a wrench boomerang mix, seeing as portmanteaus are a thing in Terraria? Wrencherang isn’t taken, so sophiamechanic could switch to that, and be less of a thorn in sophiathemechanic’s side, while sophiamechanic could still be affiliated with Sophia. You know, honestly, without Xane, this comic would stop moving in plot sooner or later. Plus, Xane is also that sort of hyper/phsycotic character that I enjoy in stories. He doesn’t just straight up attack people. He messes with them first, and almost acts as a friend. It makes him all the more an interesting character. So people, WHY ALL THE HATE!? (I mean, aside from the fact that he caused Cyril’s 100 or somethingth death, and knocked Maxx off the boat, and killed thousands of people before any of the human characters existed.)
I agree with you. Xane is one of my favourite characters, mainly because he’s not the one-dimensional type of killer. He kind of reminds me of Flowey (from Undertale). IMO, the best type of psycho is the charismatic type with a sick sense of humor and a knack for toying with others.
He is very Deadpool esk isn’t he? He is totally a bad guy, nothing at all likable about him, certifiably insane, extremely good at what he does, has a sick twisted sense of humour, loves his job, has no redeemable qualities, will eventually kill everyone if not destroyed, probably not possible to destroy him without someone equally as insane, skilled, and horrible as he is, and all that goes together to make him be a very beloved character.

Only if she decompressed all the dirt. If she only uncompressed enough dirt as needed there would be no issue. Rapid decompression and recompression of dirt as she fought and needed more or less of it would not have the disastrous results you predict. She only has to have enough decompressed dirt as she needs for a given action.
Need a giant fist? Decompress that much dirt. Need a bigger fist? Decompress more. Need a smaller fist? Compress the excess dirt. She clearly has an incredible amount of control so I am sure such a thing would be within her power.
Also she is a master combatant, I have a feeling she could hold her own unarmed against Xane locking it in a stalemate. They are both just good enough I do not think either could win in a head to head fight.
