As always, I welcome your costume guesses! Nothing too brutal this year– I’m saving all the really obscure references for next Halloween. Once you’ve guessed all of them, you can address some unfinished business and figure out the subtle joke in Comic 268! Hah!

EDIT: The guesses are pouring in! Hannah is indeed Yoko from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Cyril is Brian from Quest 64! None of the other guesses thus far are correct, sorry!
However, commenter Blue has made Legend of Maxx history by finally guessing what the subtle joke was! It is indeed the fact that the weapon that Dirt Mega Man is using is the Magma Bazooka from MM9, which does extra damage against Hornet Man. Honestly, I’m stunned. Huge props, Blue!

A literal Rockman (Megaman) made out of rock.
I would think it has to do with one of the following (though I wouldn’t know how): Hanna’s praying in panel 2, the specific way Maxx used Aley, June’s banter in panel 5, or the last panel’s explosion.
