Nineteen seconds, in case you were wondering.

This arc has gone off on a bit of a tangent, but that doesn’t really bother me because a) it’s an arc I’ve been planning to do for a while, and b) it’s just so dang fun to develop this story and see everybody’s reactions to it.

Also, I managed to get through another comic without showing the captain’s daughter, so that’s a plus! Always happy to be able to troll you guys… just a little bit 🙂

      Jesse, I have a question. What happened to flower? He used to talk quite a bit, but now, he seems to have dissapered from the comic and Cyril’s mind altogether! What’s with that?

        Flower hasn’t really had a reason to make an appearance recently, and my plan is for him to slowly fade into Cyril’s subconscious, so you’ll hear less and less from him as time goes on. Also, you can assume that he’s still sometimes saying things to Cyril, but those things aren’t important enough for us or the characters to hear.

        It’s a shame that Flower won’t be appearing as much because I really like him. I enjoyed seeing him and Cyril bicker almost constantly but I guess that’s over now. You will be remembered well, Flower.

      I hope not. If that is true, Hannah is a skeleton in a flesh suit that isn’t hers. Maybe a descendant.

        How could Hannah be his daughter? If he was, then Hannah would be hundreds of years old now.
        The only thing that would make sense is if it was June.
        Or a skeleton.
        Or some other Dryad.

        or if Hannah is cursed too. stay the same until shes married or something like that? don’t think that’s that great of an idea, but its a possibility.

        That doesn’t really prove he can’t be June’s father, If you re-read that panel she says “I can’t remember my father very well”. The impression you get on things when you’re young can be very inaccurate, So it’s likely that picture isn’t even close to what her father looked like.

    Oh my jesus christ balls. Reading this for the first time of ten was like watching the return of the king for the first time! How you mange to be such an excellent spriter, writer and general awesome person beats me. After all this history and character development, it’s amazing to see a flashback with such amazing tension and plot devices. *Hugs screen.*

      But how they could, since they can’t step out of the ship (They tried it, and you saw the results).

        I bet the Naiad will smash through the ship at the wedding ceremony, grab her, then once the ship is destroyed the curse will be broken. Then, they can just get out and rescue her, and in the meantime grab the muramasa. Thus getting the second sword, as well as an addition to the team.

    Somehow. reading the captain’s dialogue in the generic male Nord voice form Skyrim makes it even funnier.

      I already guessed that volts. Look in last comic. Also, it can’t be June. June has green hair, this one’s a blond.

    In conclusion, its not June. Its also probably not Hannah, as she was raised in a nurse-joy school. I think that Hannah’s going to rage out and use her new fighting stuff to kick buttocks.

    Oh dad, it’s like you DON’T even know me. Oh yeah, by the way, Jesse, I think you’re getting into the habit of using real life pictures for the comic. Whether this is a good or bad thing, only time can tell.

    Silmiss, what makes that particular comic impossible June to be his daughter? If he died, well he’s a skeleton so that explains it, and if you’re saying it doesn’t look like him, it’s hard to tell anyways since he has the helmet and all… I still think it’s June. I guess we’ll find out in the next comic

      He can’t be June’s father because
      1. He’s unaware of the Naiad’s abilities, so he can’t have been warring with them for a long time.
      2. The Dryads wear grass and plant stuff. That looks nothing like grass or plants.
      3. Why would a Dryad be a viking?
      4. His beard’s the wrong color.
      5. Not enough obsessive rage.
      Etc,etc,etc…

    I think that the captain’s daughter in the picture looks a bit like june’s mother, the dryad elder! (Just with shorter hair)

      The dryad elder isn’t June’s mother, She was just a parent-figure for June because her mother was always away.

    the other viking is just a random guy because he said “find a husband for your daughter” instead of “find a husband for me” and jesse said “I managed to get through another comic without showing the captain’s daughter“

    I think it’s possible for Hannah to be Viking captains daughter because:
    1: we have never heard of Hannah’s father or what he did for a living.
    2: he might have died only recently
    3: I don’t really have a third reason, I added this for fun. 😛
    Also awesome comic as usual Jesse, I’m liking that ship!

      Oh wait those Vikings captured a French expedition 200 years ago… And that is a long time. So unless Hannah is secretly over 160+ years old that is unlikely.

      OMG I WUV NIGGI SPRIT!!!!!!! JK. I recently looked at it and it does suck. A lot. Personally, I think the only people who are voting for it are a bunch of sexists.

    A note to Jesse: I just wanted to say, that I think I’m speaking for everyone when I say that this comic has always been the joy of my day. Its got some amazing art work, and its not like spongebob yet at the same time is mainly for older people. Its still HILARIOUS yet not so sexist its just annoying. I hope you read this!
