He never showed up at all, because of the whole Skeletron deal thing. Heck, even Xane commented how their door guard is always getting killed, and my best bet is that Skeletron/Old Man/Clothier was the door guard. So in other words, I agree with you, this is getting old.

You know, I kinda expected more to happen on the ocean, with all the time and comics they spent building it, and all the weoponry on the ship. Of course, they could have crashed into a giant tentacle monster, naiad pirates or a dimensional rift.
This island was recently infected by the Crimson, and Cyrill gets eaten alive by Face Monsters. Then the demolitionist returns and accidently blows up a heart, summoning the Brain of Cthulhu, and everyone else dies a horrible death. Meanwhile, the merchant lives an elegant lifestyle, until his rival, traveling merchant, becomes richer than him.
