        doesn’t it look like the cart fell from above? If he blurred the treads a little it would look like they were turning making it seem more like it didn’t fall, unless it did fall or is riding the waves

    Pixelated Pinkie Pie’s eyes look sort of psychotic. That scares me. Did she hit her head? That would explain the giant wrench in the boat…ummm…what is it?

    I love how all of their reactions were different. June needs to be smacked. Hannah needs a raise. Aley and Cyril? Pfff. They need to man up. Or fairy up. Whatever.

        You are correct. The Party Girl NPC is based off of the MLP character Pinkie Pie, who throws parties and is crazy. I would say the Mechanic (Sofia) has gotten too many electrical shocks from the Wires and other mechanisms she has (she does sell that type of stuff to you in Terraria)

        either the mechanic is literally the party girl with a PHD in electronics and he just combined them both into 1 insane supernova of crazy, or when and if the party girl DOES show up she’ll meet up with the mechanic and things will get epically nutsoballz crazy hilarious…. i’m not sure which one i’d enjoy more, but i do know that i’d enjoy borth of them about 2000 times more than i enjoy hyrule warriors (which i’m crazy about)

        if both the Party Girl and the Mechanic became friends, the Mechanic could help wire up the party lights and other stuff, or they would work together to make a fourth wall breaking confetti-powered Wrench Tank! i like the second option better!

      It gets on my nerves when people spam exclamation marks and leave 1’s at the end or anywhere in the spam. It just feels wrong.

    I would like to humbly state that I did indeed predict this in the last comic’s comments. The tinkerer and Sophia needed to be tied in, and we’ve been in the dungeon just long enough that this practically had to be the moment.
    And I love it. Keep up the great work!

      as a side note, the NPCs in the legend of maxx are infinitely more useful than they are in the game, jesse you should really make a mod or ask a modder to make a mod making the npcs useful/hilarious like they are in this comic. (totally not a wall of text

    well that Wrench Tank could definitely take care of Xane if he shows up again before they all leave the Dungeon (and Skeletron too, if Jesse decides to ever use that boss in the comic). June may have plot armor and deadly anger management problems, but the Sofia the Mechanic has pyscho armor and a freaking Wrench Tank.

      Actually, there’s a weird flying digging mount in 1.3, it digs like twice as fast as the shroomite claw it looks like from the picture.

      sorry, it is just that some people don’t know what an APC is. Plus, Wrench Tank sounds way more catchy than Wrench APC.

      …Wrench APC sounds like you are destroying a computer with a wrench, i just realized that.

        Yeah, I knew about the hammush obviously, but that’s the first time I’ve noticed this. Also, in a Terraria mod called NTerraria, there’s another reference to LoM. It’s a quote from a rabbit NPC that says “There is a legend that on another world, a guide has used Rabbit Storm skill.” (He teleports you between worlds, so this makes sense actually.)

    I would like to see more fighting from Maxx. There is a lot of power being used in this story by NPCs, people that, according to Remiel, are by their very natur limited in their ability to shape world around them. Don’t get me wrong, I love the story and the characters, but I think it has a bit too much emphasis on the sidekicks. Maxx is the hero, the ‘chosen one,’ and yet I have very little idea of what he can do outside of swinging a sword. As a Player Character, he is supposed to be able to change the world around him and his actions have been prophesized to lead either the salvation or destruction of this world, yet he gets the least amount of screentime of the current party of heroes.

    I’m not asking you to nerf any of the other characters, so please don’t do that. Instead, I think we need to see a lot more of the guy whose legend this comic is named after. 😉

      Although I’m thinking it would be weird if Maxx just suddenly started acting like a mature little Steve Rogers. So it should happen slowly. Character development!!! 😀

      Well, you know, all WE do in Terraria is swing a sword around, but we don’t get sidekicks… though in a mod I found (and already mentioned) called NTerraria, you can have sidekicks, though they’re stupid and buggy.

        Untrue. There is a vast arsenal of melee, ranged, and magical armaments available to the player, especially in 1.2. Granted, most of it is out of Maxx’s grasp since he hasn’t beaten the Wall of Flesh, yet.

        I’m not saying Maxx can’t stop with the swird-swinging, though. I just wanna see more of him.
